Abstract:

In this presentation, I introduce the concept of "Industrial Ecology". This branch field aims to increase resource efficiency by minimising the environmental effects of industrial systems. Current approaches will be shared on the transformation of industrial processes into closed loop systems, industrial symbiosis practices and the role of the circular economy model in sustainable development.
